    Jesus Lifehouse Shenzhen!!!

Soooo Excited! Last week was a big week for everybody in Jesus life house (Tokyo smashed the 1000 mark, Osaka had the highest numbers ever and so did Hong Kong). Many heard about the story of Jesus for the first time ever and made the best decision of their lives to follow him.

But something else happened which I am still so “Stoked!” about….

We have planted a new JLH in Shenzhen! With three of the most amazing young guys! Thats right, in mainland China! God is doing a fresh thing right now across our church. We believe in a great future for Hong Kong and Mainland Chinese, JLH HK and JLH S are just the beginning, of new generation churches in China.

I am going to leave it there, I am just overwhelmed with excitement as I consider what this means for my country and our church. Peter Stokes is “Stoked!”

Great city to be a dad in!

Woah I’m a Dad! Its a great feeling, probably one of the best feelings in the world being a first time parent. As I sit

here watching my still very small 4 month old trying to put both of his hands in his mouth, I am absolutely amazed by my wife Lisa. I somehow managed to score a girl who was way out of my league. She is the most beautiful and most talented woman I will ever know. She is a great wife and an amazing mum.

One of the new things I love about her is how well she handles Baylee. Even at his toughest, when he won’t feed or he wont stop crying or even when he decides he wants nothing more then to cling to mum for the day. Lisa has never once gotten upset with him, spoken loudly at him or done anything else. She just keeps telling him how much she loves him, she is constantly telling people how much of a good boy he is and how proud she is to be a mum. Baylee is a lucky boy to have Mum like her.

It is amazing to think that this is exactly what God has been doing over everyone’s life since the day they where born. Wanting nothing more then the best for us, constantly wanting to speak words of encouragement over our lives, wanting people to know how valuable and important they are. Loving us even though we may not love him or acknowledge him.

This is the reason Lisa and I moved to Hong Kong, to bring an old message to a new generation, God loves Hong Kong people and he has a plan and purpose far greater than any we could ever come up with and all it takes is for us to acknowledge him and build a relationship with him.
